The problem with climbing the wall into Faircrest was that it was very specifically designed to stop people doing just that. Before the addition of DownTown, this wall had been the only protection against the outside world. It was tall enough to make climbing difficult and had various spiky bits to discourage attempts. Guards patrolled the top and the other side was equally treacherous.

Worse, there were stories of others that had attempted the climb, only to come back in a terrible state. Babbling about ghosts, they were never the same again. That was not a fate I was keen to experience. The more I thought about it, the more I thought it sounded like a really bad idea. However I tried, though, I just couldnt stop thinking about my team who were relying on me. And then I got to thinking of all the terrible things that might befall them at the hands of a wizard. I wasnt so arrogant as to think that I could take on a wizard head on, but my job was to make sure that my team didnt have to.

I didnt have the luxury of a long planning session, but attempting anything of this magnitude without thinking it through was a recipe for disaster. The kind of disaster that ended with me dead or babbling like a fool. My least favourite kind of disaster.

The ale-house was starting to fill up, but it still wasnt so busy that people wanted to join my table, or that the bar staff would begin to start making comments about me nursing my one drink.

While I had the chance, I got down to some serious planning.
